PLAYSTATION 3 with 60GB HARD DISK DRIVE: IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Sony have announced that once current stock of this 60GB PS3 console has sold out, no more will be available in Europe, only the 40GB system will be available for customers. So get hold of the 60GB console while you still can, as stock is starting to run out!
The PS3 takes it all a stage further, with its own motion sensitive controller, online features which are at least equal to the Xbox 360's and media features similar to the 360's but use the power of the PS3 to make an even more impressive presentation. For example try looking at digital photos on it; it's like having a stack of real photo prints.
The main drawback of PS3 is the number of games available, as the 360 was released over a year earlier, but you can expect the PS3 to catch up in no time.
The power of the console is on another level to everything else. While some games only look equal to the Xbox 360 in terms of graphics, others will make your hairs stand on end. And this is just the start, over the next few years, PS3 games will become more life-like and fantastic than anything we've seen so far.
If you've been playing games for years or have broadband Internet access, you'll get more out the PS3 or 360 than you would the Wii, however at just £5.29 from Littlewoods per week, you might want to consider buying a Wii too. So out of the Xbox 360 and PS3, both are great and the Xbox 360 has a very large selection of games already, but the PS3 is looking likely to have an even greater selection in the near future. If you are buying a 360 or PS3, it's not essential but highly recommended you buy a HD-TV to really appreciate the amazing graphical power of the machines. One thing seems sure; this generation's console war will have no losers.
Finally, the PS3 is the only console to fully take advantage of the highest quality HD-TV, 1080p (this is known as "Full HD"). The Xbox only goes up to 1080i and the Wii sadly only makes it to 480p. If you really want to make your friends say "wow", you should get a 1080p TV to go with your 360.
